A masterpiece of the nature and a trekker’s paradise, it offers generous introduction and spectacular views to local flora and fauna, which includes the endangered species of centauria akamantis – an endemic plant that is found only in this gorge. The gorge, rich in flora has ferns, oaks, pine trees, junipers, cypresses, and wild fig trees among other trees and also numerous wild flowers. Animal life includes hares, falcons, foxes, butterflies, crows, night owls and an amazing number of reptiles. The gorge is about 3km long.
