Ha Long Bay is located in Vietnam in the province of Quang Ninh. Ha Long Bay is comprised of monolithic islands where visitors can experience grottos, caves, lakes, and even isolated beaches. Two of the islands are large enough to serve as home for locals. They even serve as ports for tourism services.
There are 1,969 of these limestone monolithic islands throughout the bay. The bay area accounts for approximately 75 miles (120 km) of Vietnam’s coastline.
Wildlife is also present throughout the bay area. Visitors and explorers may encounter a variety of birds, bantams, antelopes, monkeys, and lizards.
